The Ulster Museum was always one of my favourite places to go when I was at school at Victoria College Belfast and at that time, the 80's, the museum housed a selection of FE McWilliam's sculptures which I loved. Sadly the sculptures are no longer there (so I found out on my recent trip) and instead are housed at the FE McWilliam Gallery near Banbridge Northern Ireland. I was disappointed not to see them again at the museum however I found these two drawings which I did ages ago in an old sketch book. These two sculptures in particular were both called Woman In A Bomb Blast from his series of Women Of Belfast. Nice to see how I was drawing then...must try some cross hatching and line shading again.
